A Plea to the Carolina Panthers; Please Resign Charles Tillman

As a lifelong Carolina Panthers fan, and PSL owner, I have a plea to make to GM Dave Gettleman, Head Coach Ron Rivera and the Carolina Panthers, please resign Charles "Peanut" Tillman. Tillman played well for the Panthers in an injury shortened 2015 year, starting in 12 games, recording 55 tackles, seven passes defensed, two interceptions and two forced fumbles with his patented "Peanut Punch".

Tillman was not only important on the field for the Panthers, but for a young secondary group the really flourished into a solid unit throughout the season, Tillman's experience and leadership should be created for a large part of the growth.

Tillman has said he would like to return to the Panthers for the 2016 season, and I believe the Panthers should absolutely resign him. With shutdown corner Josh Norman locked up with the franchise tag, and the great play of Bene Benwikeri in Tillman's place after his injury, Tillman may not be a starter in 2016, but would be a great backup to Benwikeri, or could even allow the Panthers to move Benwikeri back his natural slot corner position and start Tillman opposite Norman.

Tillman, the 2013 Walter Payton Man of the Year, proved he can still play at a high level in 2015, and the Panthers would be remiss to not bring him back for another run in 2016. Peanut is one of my favorite players in the NFL, always has been, and I really hope to see him in Panthers Black & Blue again! Not to mention Peanut is one of the absolute best role models in the entire sports community!

**Peanut, if I get lucky enough for you to see this, please send me a DM on Twitter (adamjw84) or email me ( I would really, really like to ask you a question. Also Peanut, it would be such a great honor for you to follow my blog! Thank you! Keep Pounding!
