According to scources around the league, the Philadelphia Eagles have traded the 2014 NFL rushing champion to the Tennessee Titans. ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported the move, which won't become official until Wednesday.
Murray altered his contract to accommodate the trade, but he did not lose his $21 million in guaranteed money, per Rapoport, according to a source informed of the deal.
Murray led the league with 1,845 yards and 13 touchdowns with the Cowboys in 2014, earning NFL Offensive Of The Year honors. He parlayed that into a five-year, $40 million contract -- including $20 million guaranteed -- with the Eagles last March. But Murray was unable to carry the magic over from Dallas. He didn't seem to bring to Philly the same burst and he slumped to just 702 yards on 3.6 yards per attempt in an offense that didn't suit is running style.
