The "Good" Problem the Panthers have at WR

The Carolina Panthers have a problem at wide receiver, but it's a good or even great problem to have. The Panthers have too many receivers that are worthy of making the 53-man roster. The Panthers currently have 13 receivers at training camp, at least nine of whom could easily make most NFL teams roster, however for those on the Panthers roster, it may be a little more difficult. The Panther will most likely only carry five receivers on the 53-man roster, so narrowing down which five those are will make for an interesting storyline to watch over the next few weeks.

The locks:

(1) Kelvin Benjamin

(2) Devin Funchess

(3) Philly Brown

The most likely:

(1) Ted Ginn Jr

The guys fighting for one spot:

(1) Keyarris Garrett

(2) Avius Capers

(3) Stephen Hill

(4) Brenton Bersin

(5) Damiere Byrd

The likely to be cut:

(1) Tobias Palmer

(2) LaRon Byrd

(3) Kevin Norwood

(4) Miles Shular

Benjamin, Funchess and Brown will be on the final 53-man roster, Ginn most likely will be as well. That leaves five guys to fight for one roster spot in my opinion. It's possible one of those receivers listed above and the Panthers are forced to make room for him and carry six receivers, however the most likely scenario is the Panthers carry five receivers on their 53-man roster and will attempt to stash two on the practice squad. But also, don't be surprised to see a veteran be cut in favor or a younger receiver (Ginn or Bersin)
